This volume contains the story of the descendants of David Brereton (born 1732) of Killurin,  County Offaly and includes not only the stories of those who remained in Ireland but also follows descendants to many countres including Canada and the United States.  David is the 5th great-grandfather of the author Faye Brereton and the 4th great grandfather of John Brereton of California who wrote a Brereton History in 1919.
